director &
creative consultant

Over several months, while rehearsing as the White Rabbit in “Alice i Eventyrland” at the National Theatre of Norway (Bergen), Peter concurrently served as the official “Slapstick Konsulent.” He wrote gags for the production, assisted the director, Per-Olav Sørensen, and worked with the large cast in comedy techniques and style. The result was a hit: a wonderful, magical, and very funny show, that both children and adults adored. There are currently plans to move this production to Oslo in the near future.

Peter created and directed the family comedy show “Dill og Diger” for the Westlandske Teatersenter in Bergen, Norway. The show consists of a classic comedy duo—classic, except for the refreshing fact that they’re female!—who are accompanied by a lively musician on a washtub bass. The story begins when Dill and Diger decide to have a picnic in the park together, but everything that can go wrong does. It’s old and new--Vaudeville meets Becket meets Pee-Wee’s Playhouse. This production is preparing for a Fall 2006 Scandinavian tour, and is in early development as a Norwegian television program.

Peter has a gift in collaborating to create entertaining and unusual things. His wide range of experiences, interests and abilities serve him well to approach each new project with an open mind, curiosity and daring. When hired to work with a client he starts by discovering what the client wants (or, if they don’t exactly know, helps them discover it), and builds from there . . . all the while remaining in constant communication and collaboration through the creative process. He prides himself on serving his clients intentions.

He is available to direct, write or co-create new projects, and is also available to “doctor” existing projects, pieces or specialty acts.  He’ll be happy to have a preliminary talk with you about your project to explain how he can be of service.
